Wolfenstein: The New Order preview

Still on the fence about getting it for PS4, perhaps I will get it for PC instead - it's cheaper too!

The Xbox 360 version will contain four installation discs for the game, other platforms will have one disc.

Judging by what people who already played it have said, apparently the AI is terrible.

I think that settles my dilemma of choosing between this and Watchdogs. I'll grab this a few months down the line then.

i fear this is gonna be shades of Duke Nukem Forever all over again :( major disappointment inbound

I didn't have particularly high hopes for it. The only really good game in my opinion that the guys behind it made was The Chronicles of Riddick: Escape from Butcher Bay. Everyone thought Wolfenstein would turn out great because of that but perhaps they were just a one hit wonder after all.

Getting my pre-order next week, but I'm not gonna be home for the whole week

I've been looking forward to this game and hope they can come through with some old school shooter action.

I have more hope for this game, I think it will be epic. DNF made no efforts to leave the 90's.

but they just trying to milk the old Nostalgia machine, hoping to get sales from old gamers like us who are all misty eyed about the "good old days" :(

I've heard the complete opposite. Apparently the AI is one of the great key factors in this game. I think this game is going to be good. I'm buying it for sure.

I read that the "Bad AI" was some one playing with the lowest difficulty on PS3.

That first difficulty image SCREAMS Dumb AI.

Mate, the last Wolfenstein game came out in 2009 and the one before that came out in 2001. What nostalgia machine?

As far as "nostalgia" is concerned, they are focussing on bringing back "old school" FPS mechanics and gameplay. I'm really looking forward to that. There are many new FPS games which have changed the genre so much that I'm excited about a game that sort-of goes back to the roots of what it means to play an action FPS shooter.

Yeah, I don't know about you guys, but I'm very glad I didn't preorder this.

I'm not convinced with the amount of these reports and videos popping up that this is something that's limited to Easy mode or something that's excusable.

Edit: Here's another.

I played it, finished and loved it.

Can't say I had any issues at all with the AI.

It had a fantastic story, great characters, great shooty-shooty pew-pew-pew action (the weapons were a lot of fun, as were a number of gameplay mechanics).

One of the best shooters I've played :)

Damn 40GB download is taking forever! I want to see this crappy AI for myself.

What are you talking about? Only took me thirty minutes.

So I've had 3 hours of Wolfenstein, and here is my first impression summarized into one word: AWESOME!!!!

Beforehand, so many people warned me about the AI, the bad PC port, this and that, but honestly, I've not seen anything bad from the game. My PC is by no means a top of the range beast, but is more than capable of maxing the game and getting between 40-50 fps, which to me is 100% fine.

The AI derped out once so far while I was sneaking, but nothing close to game breaking or distracting in any way.

The game is more fun than I've had in a game in a very long time. It's really old school greatness, and it's amazing how they've captured the spirit of Wolfenstein in this game

But by far the most impressive thing about this game so far, is the cut scenes. There is a lot of cut scenes, but they are done so well that I look forward to each one. It's not often that you can commend a game on it's cinematography, but here it's top class. It almost felt like watching a Quentin Tarantino movie.

All in all, this has been an enjoyable and fun ride so far, and I have absolutely no buyers remorse about this game.
