Hardware setup ATT Joker (or anyone interested)

Okay, so as some of you may or may not have read a little while ago, my CPU died and now I have bought a replacement, they also swapped out my board as I caused a bit of a stir.

Long story cut short, this is what I currently have;
Core i5-3470
MSI B75A-G43 GAMING
2x 4GB Ram*
nVidia 560Ti / ATi HD5970**

* I subsequently had to trade in my other 2x 4GB modules in order to pay for the CPU, so I'm down from 16GB.
** This is my real question, with the current setup, which graphics card shall I stick with?

Obviously the main reason for the machine is gaming, games such as BF4 etc. I am looking at getting Watch Dogs and Dark Souls 2 on PC as well.

Opinions/thoughts?

Cheers,
Beo...

More details on the different gfx card choices required if possible, maybe manufacturer/model to see things like amount of ram and type of ram etc?

CPU and RAM should be more than sufficient.

The 5970 is a much much stronger card than the GTX560 Ti, can't really even compare the 2 of them.
So def go for the 5970.

What psu are you using bud?

Also do you own both the 560ti and the 5970?
If so why not sell them both and grab a 7950 second hand?

Aaah... using a Cougar 750W (unsure of exact specifications).

Never actually thought about selling the two. Problem would really be, to get the same amount from selling them as it would be to buy the replacement.

Well I have a 7970 here that I'd be willing to let go for a good price.
You should be able to sell those 2 cards on www.carbonite.co.za

Just put up a feeler and see who bites, you should be able to sell the 5970 for R1800-R2000 and the GTX560ti for around R1100 or so.

Is there really that much of a performance increase over the 5970 to warranty going to 7970?

What is your reasoning for this?
Forgive me and my ignorance, I am not trying to be facetious or question your abilities, I have just been out of the hardware game for a while and aren't to familiar with the cards performance differences. Just too many to keep track of.

Its ok bud.

7970 is quite a bit faster than a 5970.
It uses less power.
Produces less heat.
Is quite a lot less noisy.
New Tech over 4-5 year old tech.
No CF issues.

Also don't bother checking for benchmarks on the net, you'll only find ones when the 7970 released, its a much faster card now thanx to fantastic drivers.

Aah yes, my machine has been out of order for a while I've almost forgotten it sounds like a Boeing when I play games :P
I think the card normally runs at like 100'c (or close to).

Having owned a fair share of 5970's I can tell you now the 7970 is the better card.
