Official Battlefield 4 Thread

So I got back into this after a 4 month hiatus due to PC problems.

Had some good rounds with a few mates on our server but once they ditched I found myself not wanting to play. This game has drawn my faith out of it, I doubt I will go premium and I doubt I will invest in another Battlefield title.

Dark souls 2 has gripped me. Haven't played for a bit.

I have played battlefield since 1942, I won't lie every battlefield had it's problems and those of you that have played would also know. How after so many years can EA/DICE still sit with these problems? I was not going to buy BF4 simply because it looked like BF3.5 and it was not BC3. I bought it anyway. I played it through bugs, server problems, lag, clan stacking, hacking and everything else, I wanted to enjoy a game I paid for. I did, then I stopped caring, I stopped playing and Battlefield is no more to me. I had been a fan for 10 years but now I am going to close that book and say good night.
It has lost it's charms and I don't think Hardline will pull me back in it looks to be a blatant mod for BF4, riding on the success of CSGO (which is much better game).
 
Well, I've been playing BF4 enough to have reached rank 74 (or thereabouts) and it's starting to lose its shine.

The only reason I'm playing the game now is to unlock the Phantom Trainee camo. I need 120 more pistol kills and then I'm done with it. I'm struggling to find a reason to keep on playing this game. In fact, the games that are peaking my interest these days are my single player games like Far Cry 3 and Batman Arkham City.

The times that I do play BF4 I just struggle to find it as "fun" as it used to be. I manage to always end up in the top 10 of my team, sometimes top of the leaderboard in some matches, but it's just not enjoyable any more. The crowd also seems to be getting worse.
 
So I decided to play some bf4 over the weekend and got some error cs00000007b or something. Got sick of trying to sort it and played some bf3 all weekend. So much fun. Managed to fix bf4 and played a few rounds last night.

My conclusion: BF4 is so kak compared to BF3.
 
Well last night confirmed my suspicion that I'm getting over BF4. I logged into a game on one of the Hard Core servers (40 players) and almost the entire opposing team consisted of BmW clan members.

I tried to play, but when 80% of my team quit due to this insane team stacking, I had to leave too and didn't bother to continue playing.

This game has its fun moments, but boy-oh-boy, the clans and CoD fanbase that's infiltrated this game is ruining it completely. It's because of people like these clan members that I firmly believe single-player / story driven games are MUCH better than any mulitplayer game.

The only multiplayer modes I care about are Free-for-All or 1v1, maybe co-op. I guess I should have taken that into consideration before I bought this game. :D

Oh well, lesson learned.

Yeah I don't play on those BMW c*nt servers.
 
Odd. I play almost exclusively on the BMW servers. I've found the people who play there tend to be nicer and the BMW clan members have never behaved like children when I've been around.
 
The whole team stacking thing is really getting worse by the day though. The other night I was playing on one of the 60player telkom servers and the opposing team stacked their clan to the max. Unfortunately, if you're a bad player, no amount of corresponding clan tags on your team will help you. After we beat them 2 games in a row (convincingly), literally all of them left the server. What a bunch of clowns.

With the latest specials on at the moment, yes. Hardline is not really a new "battlefield" game. It's got the name-tag to help it sell better, but it's not a real battlefield title at all.

Hardline looks like a lot of fun. Good old cops and robbers :-)

I swear I have radar that detects any mention of BC3 (the lack of this game's existence still pains me today:cry:)
