Metal Gear Solid, novel ideas and fun boss battles, humour, quick travel , graphics (for it's time) ,the tomoto sauce escape it had it all.
But the survey should of really broken it down by genre too, I mean how can you compare Red Alert 2 to Grim Fandango?
 
Something I thought of yesterday, while pondering my choice of game. For me Deus Ex is the best game I've ever played, but is it really the greatest game ever made? Is it the game that has redefined how games are created; did it revolutionize the gaming industry? I wonder then if there isn't a difference between the Greatest Game Ever Made, and My own favourite game ever. Although I've already cast my vote though. Again just wondering out loud I think

Thanks man! It was really an awesome game. Was just thinking why the hell don't they make a remake.

Was a tough choice between SC2 and Planescape Torment tho :(
 
Interesting list of games. will be interesting to know why for example Mass Effect 2 instead just Mass Effect although I guess 3 parts is still 3 games. A few were missing IMHO but still a pretty good list.
