Steam Summer Sale 2014 - What You Gonna Buy!

Question, does putting money into steam wallet require me to pay 14% VAT?

It doesn't look that way.

Ugh I haven't bought from Steam in a while and my previous credit card expired so I had to put in a new one. Now it wants to wait a week before I may buy or sell anything from the community market. Luckily I did this on Monday so I just got to wait until next Monday. But this is a warning to everyone.

Dark Souls 2 is on special, waiting to find it on a Flash Sale.
(I'm not gonna pay the same amount as I did for the PS3 version)

I buckled and bought Divinity. Expensive buy for a sale, but it looks incredibly good. My strategy this year is to buy QUALITY rather than QUANTITY

Who cares about the teams, I just wanna sell my cards....

So, go Team Sales.

Also Red team, heh?

I've decided to speculate this year. I bought two tokens (Blue Team and Pink Team) and once one of those teams are winning, I'll drop it into the market an hour or so before closing at hopefully a ridiculous profit.

Huh? What tokens did u buy? I didn't see that mentioned in FAQ

Im on team purple whoo, bought divinity, everyone who played early access said it's amazing. Now to wait for release on the 30th as it wipes out saves with updates.

It is a token that allows you to change teams. Go search for "team token" in the market.
Currently, the blue and pink teams trade for $10 a token.
The purple team (that's winning) has a lowest asking price of $36 per token with a highest bid of $16.

Bit of a gamble, but I may just fund a game or two from the profits if all goes to plan.

I have no idea what is the point of the map ? I am just selling the cards I have.

Yeah I've been selling cards over the last couple of weeks, but they're going much faster now. Up to $22 in my steam wallet just from selling cards, and I still have over a hundred to go :D

Have you played it? Screen shots look cool, but know almost nothing about it.

Yeah I've played it. Initially started playing it just familiarize myself with the turn based combat (not something I'm usually into), but in the end I had to force myself to stop playing it to avoid spoiling it too much. The game is not just about combat though, there's a LOT of dialogue and choices you can make, and of course Larian's unique brand of humor.

LOL Eugene, I have crappy cards that aint worth a lot :(

Sure, but if you can sell 100 cards at at least $0.10 it adds up pretty quickly, without you really doing anything. (except play stupid games you normally won't touch, just to earn the cards :D )

LOL I only had 7 cards to sell :(

Way around this is to add your CC to Paypal, verify (2$ Takes about 2 days to show on your statementand a week to be refunded)
and use Paypal for your Steam purchases.

As a rule I only add my CC on Google Wallet and Paypal, and from there on only use those 2 to pay for everything on the net. That way I have less places to worry about getting hacked.
