Bundles, Bundles everywhere!

:D All we need now is a humble tv series bundle and I'm screwed. I actually bought ivona text to speech reader and I now listen to my ebooks while I'm doing the mindless stuff like driving, dishes etc.

Thats interesting! I user Smart AudioBook Reader for my audio books, great features! Will have a look at that app for text.

That's an android app right. In that case Ivona is free on Google play while it's still in beta. Just download the Amy voice. That is by far the most natural sounding. You can then use FBReader with the TTS plugin. Works like a charm. I bought the windows app though, which allows you to convert to mp3 and listen on your mp3 player. (Either way it will take a chapter or two to get into it, especially if you are used to a professional reader, but push through and very soon you wont notice.)

I don't know, Gunpoint, Psychonauts and Guacamelee are all really good games, but at that price I don't think it's worth it.

I agree with you. They could have made that a normal, 'pay what you want' bundle and it would sell a lot more.

Unless you own none of those games, then I'd potentially consider it.

Yeah I'll give that a skip as well, could get much more games that I actually want from the Steam Sale.

Does anyone else feel these bundles have essentially ruined their market segment as well as entry-level indie games as a whole? Nowadays I don't buy indie games when they release anymore because I know they're going to end up in a bundle for a few dollars somewhere down the line.

Bundles also don't seem to sell well at all anymore. I was looking at an IndieGala bundle the other day and a week into it it had 8000 sales. It feels kinda like with all these dozens of bundles popping up all the time we've lost sight of what bundles were supposed to be about, which was to get a bunch of games for a discount while supporting charity. Now it's just a means of getting as many indie games as possible for as cheaply as possible.

People used to get excited when the new Humble Bundle started. Now you can barely go a week without multiple new bundles popping up. It's a little sad and one has to wonder what this race to the bottom business model has done to indie games in general.

Very true. I've wondered the same. Thought that perhaps the huge amount of bundles sold might make up for the low price. But yeah, I agree with you.

Afaik Humble Bundles now link directly to your Steam account, no longer do they issue keys. Either gift all or keep all.

Keys are separate for each game.

BTA is currently $5. I went for it because it's worth it now :D

No soundtracks though :/

Nope. Most of the time you get single link for each game, which you can choose to either redeem on your steam account, or gift it to someone else.

For example, I can redeem Bioshock 2 and give Bioshock 1 to a friend.

Only certain bundles had one key for all the games, this one doesn't.

Patience young grasshopper :D

You should have bought Divinity instead...

Erm I got that 2 so not helping. Only game that I don't have is The Darkness 2 that I will pick up for $1 depending on what they add next week. Can always gift the others.

The Darkness 2 is apparently very good, so it's worth the $1. I doubt the future BTA games will be worth it though. Probably Duke Nukem Forever, Civ5 (been free and bundled) and Borderlands 1.

The Darkness 2 is a brilliant game, in my opinion it's the best game in that bundle.

Wow such an amazing bundle! I wonder what the mystery game will be. I beat the average price to get Spec Ops: The Line. I've been wanting that for ages!
