I did consider that one - but the Square-Enix mash-up is keeping it alive in like some half-living, half-borg monstrosity.

TBH, Squaresoft knocked it as soon as Sakaguchi left, in my opinion; but the brand (and IP) lives on yet.

I suppose the same could be said of ID Software. It's just a name now, the spirit died years ago.

And even though according to some it's technically still alive, I hate what has become of GSC Game World too.
