I'm looking at these two cards currently on pre order special from wootware

Do you think the 260X is worth the extra cash ?, and how are those cards like reliability and stuff ?

My monitor resolution is 1080p and I have an i3 4130 processor

Well depends on how much you wanna spend, i have the powercolor R9 270 O.C and it preforms well doesn't get warm and is very quiet even with the fan pushed up to 60% for the overclocking (i don't like arm gpu's) on idle it's 21degrees and under load it only runs like 34 degrees

Not sure if the cpu and the new model of gpu will create a bottleneck i don't think it should but i have used powercolor now on my last 3 gpu's and have had no issue but upgrading to bigger stronger cards

R7 260X all the way. The R300-odd extra is worth every penny.

+1

Personally I would go with a GTX 750 but I see they have increased in price recently. Got one myself very happy with it at 1080p it plays just about everything I throw at it, at High/Med.

As for PowerColor, you can't go wrong it's got a better cooler than some of the other bigger brands out there and thats always a good thing.

+1 for the GTX 750, but as stated above by Glordit their prices have increased :(

The demand for the GTX 750/TI's seem to have increased allot in mining community due their lower power consumption and higher hash rates on the X11 algorithm in comparison to AMD's offerings, this seems to unfortunately contribute to price increases just as it was with AMD's GPU’s when scrypt mining surged.

If you want max fps out of your game on low, then either will work perfectly for you...

However if you want more frames on a higher graphics setting then the r7260x is hands down the better option.

If, as mentioned earlier it is only R300 more, then there is barely a reason not to get the r7260x over the r9250x

Just my 2c :)
