hey beo
so The Ass seems to be leaning at abandoning this firm now as well... he is pushing for me to be absorbed into the attorney firm upstairs from us.... *sigh* but he is discussing and negotiating on my behalf that i can perhaps be in house computer techie(yet i have no qualification in this and i only know what i know cause i needed to learn to explain the sh!t to him) obviously telling these other people how they can save money on IT costs etc. i really hate when people just assume they know what they are talking about

Yellow Stone (Pty) Ltd has an estimated income of R950 000 for the 2014 year of assessment, which ends on 30 June 2014. The company was last assessed in 2012 with a taxable income of R626 400.
What is the first provisional tax amount that must be paid by the company on 31 December 2013?
(1) R252 000
(2) R175 392
(3) R126 000
(4) R87 696
I have taken it like this so far:
Taxable income 626 400
therefore: 626 400 x 28% = R 175 392
Im just not 100% sure I am calculating it right.
i just looked at that question and thought F me....Thank you! I knew I was forgetting something. But at least Im not that lostIt gives me hope - the sad part is we dont have any classes for this subject.
