Parental Corner

So far it's just not sleeping (all 3 of us) and my wife shouting things at me

Don't worry man, it does not last forever. I've found that the best thing is to get into a routine as much as possible and when you hit a speed bump push through it - you'll be glad you did in the end.

My little angel is almost two months old already. Feels like she was born yesterday. Time goes by so quickly and it's amazing how much she has grown in these few weeks, already over 2kg's heavier. Regarding the sleep issue, I must say we are lucky, she might wake us up once at night.

awe that's so awesome bro... but I think the key phrase here is fortunate ;)
my boy was also a pleasure, started putting him in his own room from 3 months and he slept right through the night. Still does actually, except for the odd night.

I am thoroughly enjoying him now, he's just over 2 years old and talking a hind leg off a donkey, and the repetition! WOW! But absolutely awesome fun.

I think my kid has decided that he is a cow. He's picked up a few actual words, but his favorite thing to say is Moo. He picks up his little toy animals and moo's at them, whether the toy is a cow, sheep, lion or dinosaur, and you can even hear him moo to himself in his room while he's going to sleep. He does also make woof noises when he sees or hears the dogs, and he can do a baa baa for sheep, but the cows are his best.

Could it not be that hooting phase?
Where they go around hooting like an owl or making similar noises?

No matter how ugly I am, my little one turned out to be quite cute...

Awe cute man! It's an amazing feeling ain't it?! ;)

I haven't heard of a hooting phase, but this is definitely a mooing phase. He knows a cow when he sees one as well. He picked it up from watching Old Mac Donald and stuff on YouTube

Awesome and really surreal to look at a little face like that and think it's your kid isn't it?
Who wouldve ever guessed trying to think of a name could be this difficult :(
It's a lot of pressure hey? And you suddenly realise how many people you haven't liked in your life because for so many names, one of you will have not liked someone with that name so it's sort of tainted.

This is the exact problem we are having i like a name but she has a negative connotation and vice versa

Just don't do the insane Dad's name + Mom's name = Baby's name thing...that stuff scars kids for life.

Also try avoiding names that rhyme with your surname. Then also keep your surname in mind, my surname pretty much left a number of names unusable as the combination of name + surname sounds very lewd when spoken aloud.

Lastly, for the love of all things sane, please remember that he/she will have to write out their name at some stage.

lol... had an awesome time with my lightie this weekend.

Started off by putting on some kiddie praise/worship sing-a-long, trying to teach him to do what that showing/telling.
Had a blast jumping around singing Father Abraham had many sons... we were both in hysterics :D

Now we are expecting a video of the two of you!!!!

argh we both down with the flu, though he's better off than me.

other than that, he has become a real fussy eater lately. Says he wants said thing, then when he gets it he won't eat it or says it's sour, or says he don't like it. Driving me bonkers...

4D Scan next week, i cant believe how fast time has gone by. This time last year we where also going for the 4D scan.

Getting excited!
