Comic Books

If you use Comixology, go there NOW. Huge Batman sale (750 issues for $0.99 each) and a massive Image SDCC sale, with the first arcs of their best books on Sale, plus most of Saga. R300 just flew out of my wallet.

Dude! Why did you tell me?!?!? I just spent so much money at Icon!

JK. Thanks.

Stop. Tempting. Me.

Hi, my name is Nem and I have a comic addiction. Been on the wagon for two years but slowly falling off. Thanks guys.

That Image sale is doing things to me...

I know. Why do they have to make me spend so much money!?!?!?!?

On another note: I have a recommendation that I thought I would never make. One of the comics that I was recommended by the cosmic comics guys was "Afterlife with Archie". I'm not sure what I expected, but I guess I thought it would be a fun, but childishly-silly, Riverdale romp.

It was not what I expected.

The story is a mature take on the world of Archie that is certainly not for children and man is it good. The book is gory but also tears at your heartstrings like a ravenous undead dog. If you want to read an interesting, fresh zombie story with familiar characters, you will not be disappointed.

I highly recommend it.

I really want to read that book. The EOC Podcast guys have been going on about it for months.

Do yourself a favour and get it if you have even been considering getting it. It's excellent.

Ja I'll do that.

To make matters worse, Comixology just launched the Top Shelf SDCC sale...there are amazing books in there. From Hell, Underwater Welder, Infinite Kung Fu, American Elf, etc.

I'm so broke now.

Something that I want to start reading that's just sitting on my tablet waiting to be read is East of West. Apparently it's pretty good.
