PC and Console gamers: let's just be friends

Price wise I think the ps4 and PC are on par. Granted the initial cost and upgrades for a pc are higher however I still argue if you took the price difference between your console and PC games and saved it then those savings would cover your next gpu upgrade.

Do you know why I think a PC is better than a console?
Because when I'm tired of gaming, I can exit Steam and get me some sweet, sweet Excel action on the VERY.SAME.MACHINE.

Can you do your taxes on an XBox? NO!
Can you plan your budget on a Playstation? NO!
Can you create a humorous yet informative slideshow highlighting the need to increase the funds allocated for corporate vehicle maintenance on a WII? PROBABLY NOT!

If I had to think up a slogan for PC gaming, it would be:

"PC. Because some gamers have jobs too."

"PC. Because that's also where all my porn is."

Yeah?

I have long stopped caring about the PC vs. Console battle. Or any comparison of consumer products for that matter.

The only vs. I care about these days are the Ryu vs. Ken, Springboks vs. All Blacks and my head vs. my pillow.

Great read though.

Heh, I was just waiting for an opportunity to use this image.

The only argument in the article I can really relate to is the controls which is quite a mission if you're used to a mouse and keyboard. I've had my PS3 for a couple of years now and still I can only play certain games with it due to my inability to master the controls. The PS3 is nice for exclusives and some of the free games via PS Plus that I otherwise might not have bought. If it wasn't for eBucks though, I probably still wouldn't have a PS3.

Thing is, since I use Visual Studio, VMWare and a bunch of other tools that take up quite a number of resources, I would have had a powerful PC in anyway because I hate waiting for things. The only thing that converts my PC into a gaming PC is the graphics card. So that fact that my PC is duel purpose is probably the biggest reason why PC for me is the cheaper and more practical platform. I have no problem with consoles, but probably won't buy another one.

Batman v Superman? Yeah?

Are these thread derails really necessary? Go read the article again and tell me which part discusses batman vs superman.

Honestly guys. :/
