Upcoming Kickstarter Gems

Hi Guys

In light of the excellent "Divinity Original Sin" and the potentially brilliant "Pillars of Eternity" games, I am rather sad that I did not spot them on Kickstarter early on, and thereby grab them cheaper than they retail once KS is done.

In that light, i was hoping to start this thread in the hope that you guys have some upcoming hits of similiar quality on the rader and can point me to their KS page :)

Yeah, I kinda feel the same about Spin Tires. Wasn't exactly a hidden gem on KickStarter, though I am sad I didn't pick it up then at a discounted rate.

exactly! guys bought DOS and PoE for like 20 or 25 dollars. total steal! i would have definately grabbed PoE as its developed by Obsidian who have made a ton of cool games!

For the Stalker lovers, which I was one. This is the spiritual successor;

Areal

Is Areal suspended? Its got suspended in brackets next to the name?
"Funding Suspended Funding for this project was suspended on July 22. "

Was looking forward to something like this...

Thats a shame... I'm looking at playing a STALKER game, own them all, but have never got into them. Think I'll give Call Of Pripyat a go.

Wish these scumbags trying to ruin the crowdfunding scheme would just keel over and die....then again, with so many half baked ideas, its also damaging the system.

Yeah, I posted a bit prematurely. When I saw this I became a little anxious, as I loved the STALKER series. Sad to see what has become of the project though.

but good news is, the 3 games i have backed look AWESOME! one has already reached goals with plenty time to spare to reach stretch. The other 2 could do with a little nudge. so please, check them out and if you like them, back em! :)

Will check them out.

Yeah, it's sad. Kickstarter is becoming more and more like Steam Greenlight and/or early access, both of which I don't support and condone.

I'm not supporting any more kickstarters until ALL the ones I already backed are actually released.

what else have you backed ? I wish i had seen/backed Divinity, Wasteland and Pillars of Eternity back when they were cheap! :(

i ended up forking out $35 now for PoE in the fear that the price upon release will be higher.

what else have you backed ?

Tex Murphy - Project Fedora
Star Citizen
War for the Overworld
Armikrog
Satellite Reign

So far the Tex Murphy game is the only one that has been released, and the War for the Overworld is the only one that looks like it's going to live up to its full potential.

Until when do have the opportunity to back Pillars of Eternity? Will only be able to on the 25th of Aug on payday.

according to the latest comms, the discounted "backer" price is only going to last till 22nd August :)

First, we will be ending the crowdfunding period for Eternity. This means that as of August 22nd, you will only be able to preorder the game and will be unable to back the game at reduced prices.

Even though it said its closed, it look like I can still back Pillars of Eternity...might just do it later today. (get paid later today...)

EDIT:
Crowd-funding was extended through the weekend (til Monday morning California time) so you'll get whatever you pledged for.

Edit: So yes, there shouldn't be any delay with sending you the goods once they're out (Winter 2014 is the current release date)

check this, 2014 GamesCom Gameplay of Pillars Of Eternity.
