Me too! Woohoo!

Nothing quite hit the mark after Silent Hill 2. I mean Silent Hill 3 was good and Silent Hill Downpour wasn't bad but this new game looks like it will be awesome!

It managed to recapture the whole psychological horror aspect again - but it wasn't really canon, or arguably even set in the same world. The main series has been in decline - so I have some cautiously high hopes for this.
 
Kojima on Silent Hill? Now you know there is going to be some really good musical scores and awesome acting coming along, as well as super awesome plot twists.

As an example here is the MGS V trailer, its blows some of Hollywood's biggest film trailers out of the water and then some.
 
Very excited about this. I agree the series has been very disappointing since the 3rd game in my opinion but the team on this gives me hope.
 
Have any of you played Silent Hill Downpour? It wasn't nearly as good as Silent Hill 2 but I enjoyed the game.

I did and didn't like it much. Even Homecoming was better in my opinion. It had good ideas but overall it was severely underwhelming for me. I don't like to bring graphics into things but even SH3's character models and facial animation was better to me than what we had in Downpour. Not to mention the subpar monster design. It wasn't bad, it just wasn't anything special.
 
Please don't be in development by a Western developer, only the Japanese can truly capture Japanese horror.

Silent Hills will run on Kojima Productions' Fox Engine, which powers Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain - Kojima's other major in-development project. No further information on the game is revealed, but a message at the end reads: "This game is a teaser. It has no direct relation to the main title."

I hope this will live up to silent hill 2. I like the main character being darrel and all but I think they should of just kept it to a made up person.

I love silent hill and cannot stand what has become of the series. So I will wait and see.
 
To this day - I still haven't finished playing a single one of its franchise.

I always lose interest.
 
Damn that looks awesome i loved the silent hill movies so this will be added to my collection once it's done just hope they don't decide to scrap it along the way :p
