Memorable PC games from the DOS era

What about blizzards platformer(basically a prince of persia styled game)called black thorn?

O my sack... I have played, Every... game... on... that... list... to... death...

I wouldn't call them from the Dos era though... Definitely more windows 95...

As i read the title I was wondering if you would have Jazz Jackrabbit... What a great game... MDK was also brilliant!

Okay yes not really a "DOS only" games list, but these still brought back so many memories. When I first started gaming, I was rocking TFX, Micro Machines, T.I.M. and Space Quest 1 on the very first family PC we owned. When we upgraded and got a Pentium PC with Windows 95, I then played C&C Red Alert, Tomb Raider and Flight Sim 95. Ah those were the days

3D Pinball Space Cadet -that was a windows 95 title afaik (came with plus! 95)

+1 Windows only.

Space Cadet is actually just one table of "Full Tilt! Pinball" by Maxis. Epic Pinball is a good example of a DOS pinball game.

If you only have the Space Cadet table, you pretty much have the Demo of Full Tilt!.

Space Cadet was later included in Windows XP as well, but it was made easier than the original Full Tilt! version.

I must say I miss the past and prefer those games to some of the current. Somehow I think im in the latter and prolly nostalgic.

There is a cure for nostalgia, it's called playing your old games. Some age well, others not so much. Sometimes its best they stay fond memories

I believe many of you are misconceived, yes the games ran on Windows 95 but Windows 95 was a GUI for DOS, so technically those are DOS games.

It doesn't even matter. The title of the article was PC Games during the DOS era, not DOS games during the PC era. :D
