Roccat Kave XTD 5.1 Headphones

Hey guys

A friend of mine is looking for a pair of Roccat Kave XTD 5.1 headphones. I've looked all over the nets, but I can't find a local store that sells these, apart from Wantitall, and they are overpriced as usual.

So far the only option seems to be to buy them from Amazon and have them imported.

I was wondering if anyone here maybe knows of a local supplier for these headphones or have bought a pair of these themselves.

R2.6k with import fee's I would rather pass and get a cheaper headset. Corsair, Razer, Logitech are all great alternatives at much cheaper prices.

They are not "true" 5.1, it has 3 40mm drivers placed in the earcup and the rest is emulated via it's own sound card.

Personally I am not a fan of them either, but the guy is adamant to get these ones. I said I'll see if I can find a local shop for him that have these cheaper than Amazon does.

Tell him he's wasting his money, get the Corsair v1500 or something but I doubt you're gonna get those kaves at a decent price now.
 
As DuckKnuckle would recommend, rather get GOOD stereo 'phones and either emulate virtual surround with something like Razer Surround or get a 5.1 USB soundcard at some point. You can't go wrong with some Sennies...

Once again, he is adamant to get these ones. I'll talk to him again when I see him Thursday and try to convince him otherwise, cause for R2600 I'd also rather get a pair of Sennheisers.
