That's what I'm hoping to do. Focus mainly on making some buckazoids in the beginning. Become a mine whore or something and train cheap skills that help me mine and trade more efficiently. Then once I've started getting some dosh rolling in move on to other more high risk but high pay activities.
 
Oh lol, 30-35 million ISK isn't bad at all...with some constant mining within a few hours I had around 5 million ISK.

They used to be around 150 million ISK :p So count your blessings. Good luck!

Thats 300 -350 million. I thought 30 was rather low.
The cheapest I see for sale in my region now is 287 mil.

Once I can fly my Coverter I should be able to fund my time through PLEXES, we'll see.

Got my first "fighter" ship, flying a Minmatar Rifter and having a ball ratting around the 0.6 systems. the 0.5 systems solo are still a bit too tough though.

So, +- 60 hrs to get 300mil. Yeah, sounds a bit daunting.

Maybe I can kidnap and ransom a dog or cat to pay the first month or two and once I have a bigger cargo hold and mining skill it will easier.

Being a merc would be a lot more fun, but I don't know if I'm going to be able to carry on after the trial. It will be a bit unfair if I join your corp and you help me out only for me to leave after the trial.

Unless it's cool to join as a miner so I have some guys to chat to and then become a proper merc if I manage to figure out a way to stay playing.
 
My outfit is small, just me at the moment but im planning a recruitment drive to recruit atleast 8 like minded pilots to join. What u could do is find a buddy who want to try eve also and invite him using the buddy system, u then get 30 days free. So another month in which u dont have to pay.
 
Well, I've been doing some research and it doesn't look like I'll be able to make enough during a trail to get a plex. So I might as well skip mining and just try something I think I'll enjoy more to get a proper feel for the game.

Can you invite buddies from a trial account?
 
Afternoon All, I have been offline for a few days. RL tends to really cut into gaming time. I'll be on a bit tonight as I need to move upto highsec.
 
So I did the unthinkable again last night. I started yet another new character. One day I will stick with one for more then a month.

Main reason is so I can focus his initial training far more, rather then wasting the bonus training speed on stuff I don't need.
 
Im quite happy with my 1 character. With OC help im quite focused as far as training is concerned. Evemon helps alot.
 
Well, I am in hisec now ... without my ship! Jumpclones ftl =(. The upside is that I am going shopping for a replacement!
