LastPass is brilliant!

Just think: you imagine you're protecting your accounts and yet when you install the program you could potentially be compromising your PC and by extension your accounts as well.

That's always the risk when you rely on a third party for your security requirements.

I'm using KeePass on a flash. I should put it on more than one flash, because If I lose it...>.<
I'm scared of storing my passwords online.

More than one flash? Then you also need to worry about version control. :D

Has the same risks as LastPass, but is marginally better if you have a good firewall or you only use it offline.

if you lose that Flash, you are FOOKED!

Hehe, jip. I make backups on my hd every once in a while.

Elaborate?

Only offline. I used to save a backup on dropbox, but then I thought....and then I deleted that copy. We all have our moments...

I use lastpass for lots of sites. But nothing important. Bank, Gmail, important stuff like that is in my head. I wont forget them and they are pretty complex. I don't mind a third party knowing my Superbru or Goodreads passwords and it fills the login form for me.

You guys all sound like you're keeping the secrets to the Holy grail location or something...2 Factor authentication really should be enough for even slightly serious things. And if the place you're using doesn't at least have some kind of anti-bruteforce protection (even basic, delay in receiving response from server after x attempts) then why are you using important passwords on it anyway :P

So far I have been using PasswordSafe, which is great as it randomly generates a password for every website, however it's a bit difficult to get a hold of my passwords if I am away from home and my phone conveniently decided to forget a password of mine.

Perhaps I'll give LastPass a try.

Lastpass also randomly generates passwords for you. And it can be accessed anywhere, which is awesome

Doesn't that make it rather vulnerable? :P

It's like saying you know the lottery only has 49 numbers, so the winning combination is easy to pick :)

Instead now you have the whole alphabet (upper and lowercase), numbers and symbols, all of which can be in any order and the password length also varies. I think you might have a hard time cracking that.

Except you guys were talking about how easy it is to crack Passwords earlier, hence the need for lastpass so that you can have 100char passwords. You still have to remember your Lastpass pass :P

100 char passwords are overkill, but nothing wrong with them. You just need to have proper passwords.

Apologies for the res, but has anyone else's LastPass recently started displaying every single saved sight when clicking on the star to select your log on.
