and its done.... he was surprisingly calm about it and is even nice to me... tried to match what the other people are offering but i nicely declined
Congratulations, always nice when things get resolved civilly and good decision on turning him down. Sometimes it's just good to get a change despite them offering more to keep you.

Stressing about what's to come maybe? Sleep is not something new parents get much of, but you kind of get used to it after a while. Some nights are ok, but some suck. At least my kid usually sleeps through the night these days, he usually wakes up at 7, although yesterday he got us up at 5, and last night I think I eventually put him down in his own bed around 3am. I don't think he's feeling well.

You underestimate the perceptive power of babies. If you suffer from insomnia, they will sleep through the night without as much as a peep. It's when you're mad tired and drop on the bed directly from work that they start crying for no reason or develop a phantom fever that miraculously disappear when you walk into casualty at 3am.
