Is this desktop memory?

That is a really odd way of doing the abbreviation...

Why didn't they say SLDM? Or even Signature Line DM makes more sense than abbreviating the LD part.
 
Tried the ram, it worked without any problems. Didn't try to OC though.
It's single sided with 8 chips.

Oh and it's made in the USA, not China ;)

Just a shame it's out of stock, was really a good deal price wise, and single sided is apparently faster from what I've read.
 
I do not wish to start a thread for this so:

I'm looking for a (local to CT) retailer that sells DDR3-1333MHz CL9 memory modules at a decent price; so far, only Wootware is my go to option. I'm looking into upping my RAM from 4GB to 8GB.
 
Yes it is desktop RAM, Laptop RAM is shorter and therefore has 2 rows of memory chips (normally 4 per row).

Also the retaining slots on the side for desktop RAM are square whereas on Laptop RAM its semi-circle.
