Free games on xbox live (For Gold)

Interestingly I found that because I'm on XBox Live Gold I can get the free games for XBox One too by going on the website. Even though I don't actually own an XBox One. If I ever do I will have a collection of games for it though which is pretty awesome!
 
Yeah I've also been redeeming Xbox One games for the last few months, even though I don't have the console. It's a great way to build up a library for when you get the console one day (same with the PS4, if you only have a Vita or PS3 at the moment). I also find it much easier to navigate the stores through their respective websites instead of going through the consoles.

How do u redeem xbone games when u dont have one?

Seeing as we have to search the web to get gaming news on other sites these days.

For the month of November, Xbox Live Gold members can look forward to three new free games on Xbox One and Xbox 360.

Volgarr the Viking, the newest ID@Xbox game, will debut on Xbox One as a free download. For Xbox One gamers, this is a journey back to the days of yore, when times were tougher, and you really only needed a couple buttons to play a game.




On Xbox 360, starting Saturday, November 1st, Viva Piñata: Trouble in Paradise ($14.99 ERP) will be free for Xbox Live Gold members through November 15th.
Then on November 16th, Xbox Live Gold Members can download Red Faction: Guerrilla ($19.99 ERP) for free through November 30th
 
Sweet! I've wanted that Viva Pinata game for ages, but could never find a copy. Unfortunately, half the time I can't claim my games because I have a North American account :|
 
We still have to see what we will get in South Africa. It kind of looks like Red Faction: Guerrilla isn't available here.

Looks like it is Red Faction: Guerilla... But I usually redeem from the Xbox website, and the game is still listed as R199? So I'm afraid if I click through I'll be charged for it :confused:

Will try tonight on my console.

I redemeed it on the website. Strangely enough it didn't show on my XBox when I wanted to get it there yesterday so the website worked for me but not the XBox.

It also wasn't listed as R199 for me but showed it as free. Weird. I hope you get it.

Same here, maybe they are being slack on activating it on the website or something

If I remember correctly, I scrolled down to the bottom of the shop page where there was the option to buy it for free. I looked now again but it shows that I already own the game.
