If this becomes true and amazon.co.za has the range of their US/UK/JPN websites, then consider every other retailer and online store dead in my eyes.

If they do open locally I doubt they'll have the same range as their other stores purely because the turnover and profit will not compare to what you see overseas. What they could do is have products not stocked locally on a 21 day delivery time, effectively keeping the stock in the UK or US.
