  • Temple of elemental evil is a true dnd game.

It is sooooo hard. Giant lobsters and frogs and now a whole troop of brigands:eek:
East London doesn't get particularly cold.

If it hits 12 degrees, it is considered arctic and people walk around in layers of clothing.

It was warm and sunny today, as it has been for most of the week.

Remember.....we're about 500km down the coast from Durban
No just saying if I had that. The more expensive the guitar the better it sounds. And the price always goes up for such guitars.
Yeeesh.....you actually had R13 000 to spend on something at some time?

I managed to get my 4870 for R2000. The previous owner had owned it for about a month and then decided he wanted one of nVidia's GTX cards.
    I know.

I would rather put down R13000 for a new guitar.
I payed R2500 for my radeon hd 4800 series and it runs my games well. My buddy paid for his card R3500 and it is just as good as mine.
Sounds like a sensible board. I find it hard to believe that there are those who can spend R3000-R4000 on a motherboard.
I paid R1500 for my mother board. But 2 days after I had it my pc got hit by lightning so I had to get a new one(I got the same one)

Not second hand. My dads bosses son's mother own a shop so I get them straight from the suppliers +5% on the whole price.
    That IS good! Second hand?

My Core2 Duo E8400 and 4GB of Kingston HyperX were bought off someone on the PCF Forums two years ago,
when I paid R2000 for them. It was a good price at the time.

How much did you pay for your motherboard?
I got a really good price though. I got for gigs of ddr2 kingston ram for R300.
My amd Phenomx4 black edition cost R1200
    So does mine.

RPGs by a long shot. I also enjoy some of the games put out out by Sigma Team, PopCap and Reflexive.

Fortunately RPGs don't normally require the latest and greatest hardware to run them.
Truth be told, I should probably have kept my Athlon 64 X2 4200 and Geforce 8800 GTS

If I ever do upgrade again, I see myself buying midrange to lower end hardware. Something like
an Intel E7500, Intel motherboard, 2Gb of RAM and a Radeon HD 5750 would probably be fine for me.

At least I haven't gone overboard in terms of hard drive space. Windows sits on a 250Gb hard drive and I have Ubuntu 10.4 on a 160Gb drive.

Our staff incentive scheme was done away with two years ago so that the company could pay the more senior staff better salaries in an effort to keep them. That would sometimes net me an additional R8000, which I would then put into an upgrade. I used to do it every 3 years or so.
I read it. And you are right, I spent R6000 on my machine in december 2008 and it still runs all my games on full settings with out a hitch.:)

    What is your fav genre?
I'll probably never get around to finishing everything I have, so I think I should concentrate on my favourite genre

    I never played Earthworm Jim

Take a look at my post in the Ultimage Gaming Rig thread.
I play lots of other games that are not rpgs:p

I do how ever want the hd remake of earthworm jim.
I found the fight against the Dragon at the end of Dragon Age VERY difficult and only got through it by the skin of my teeth.

Unfortunately I missed out on the other games you mentioned.

I think I might do well to get rid of all the other games I bought on sales but am probably never going to play and concentrate on RPGs alone.
