Also had the problem... seems like BF4 is replying on the community to fix the game for them.
In an attempt to save 'em furries, try this:
- Open REGEDIT (Windows Registry Editor)
- Navigate to the following (64-bit Operating System): HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE > Software > Wow6432Node > EA Games > Battlefield 4
- Navigate to the following (32-bit Operating System): HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE > Software > EA Games > Battlefield 4
- Now rightclick the Battlefield 4 folder > New > Key > and name it "Xpack1"
- Within the new Xpack1 folder you created in the registry, add a new string value. Right click > New > String value
- Set the following parameters for the new string value you created:
Name: Installed
Value data: True
- fire up origin and enjoy.
