Default Blizzard is developing a new diablo project... UGH

Still coming down off of the excitement surrounding the slew of Blizzard announcements made at Gamescom? Good, because it looks like they’re just getting started. Blizzard posted a job this morning calling for an art director to work on an upcoming unannounced title. This is quite typical for Blizzard, with the job description citing quality attributes such as demonstrating “proficiency with popular 2D and 3D applications, such as Maya, 3DS Max, Adobe Photoshop, Painter, etc.” and possessing “solid knowledge of current and next-gen art techniques as well as fundamental art principles.” The kicker, however, is in the following section of the job description, where Blizzard lists one extra quality that would be a “plus” for any potential employee:

What?! That definitely says Diablo. It appears that Blizzard is working on a new Diablo project. Whether this new project is a new game (Diablo 4 omg!) or a new expansion is completely up to question. Either way, the Road to Blizzcon–where I imagine they’d be announcing this new Diablo project– just got a lot more interesting, especially when you take into account that Blizzard has already gotten the new World of Warcraft expansion announcements out of the way.
Blizzard is beating that poor dead horse now. Do we REALLY need another Diablo, let alone another WoW expansion?

how about spending that time and resources on some new IP's. or finishing Overwatch!!!

I agree that we probably don't need a brand new Diablo, but I could definitely go for another expansion. With the significant changes that Blizz are incorporating with patch 2.3 (all for free), I can only imagine what they will do with an entire expansion.

This is a problem with Blizzard expansions, but it's always worth it. The number of hours of play time that I get from a Blizzard expansion is usually equivalent to, or significantly more than the number of hours I get out of the average game. Maybe that's not the case for everyone, but I am happy to pay for the quality and level of polish that Blizzard provides (I'll just conveniently ignore D3's launch here).

I wish they could take over the warhammer series with their quality of games. Rather than another diablo.

    Adventure mode?!?

Adventure mode is awesome, it's part of what made the expansion worthwhile! I got about 10 hours from the new act, but I would have enjoyed a second new class though.

yeah but still not full price worthy. they just took the story out of story mode

the thing that really pissed me off was buying the hard copy just to find out I basically just paid for a key in a nice box

I won't argue with that. I had the same issue with Heart of the Swarm. It's basically what Blizzard do now. At least the retail keys are quite a bit cheaper because we live in SA. It's still worth it to buy retail because of the price difference when compared to digital.
