    Default You know what really grinds my gears: SA Edition

    SA citizens that don't give a shit about other SA citizens.

    Saturday night, on her way home from work, my wife was involved in a smash & grab. As she was waiting at the robot on the N7 turnoff to get onto Plattekloof rd this neatly dressed, shiny black tracksuit wearing motherfucker came up to her passenger side window, pretending to beg for money. After she told him no he kept hanging around, at which point my wife realised that something was wrong. She was surrounded by cars and had nowhere to go so she started to hit the horn to get the other driver's around her's attention or to at least get them to move out of the way. It was useless. It was then that this shit stain on society gave her a smile (yes he fucking grinned at her like he was taking pleasure out of her distress), shattered the window and grabbed her handbag and disappeared into the bushes. When the light turned green, all the other cars just went on their merry way. Not one person even stopped to check if she was ok. So to everybody that was on that N7/Plattekloof turnoff Saturday night at 21:30 I would like to say FUCK YOU you miserable pieces of "human" shit!

    </rage>

    I apologise for my colourful language, but I had to get it off my chest.

    Ag, if there was nothing in the bag, it would still have been worth getting upset over. It sucks so bad.

    I've always had this day dream of putting a handbag on the passenger side of my car, a nice bright one, window open, making it easy to grab and run away. Obviously he wouldn't notice the thin cable attached the bottom of the seat, slipping from the bag as he pulls it, giving a slight tug. As he's running, smiling about how he just scared the driver and proved his superiority, he would also not remember seeing the small round ring attached to the end of the cable that slip from inside the handbag...

    The lost property is nothing compared to what she felt at that moment and the emotional stress she might experience.

    Another thing, I have often wondered about society. How and why people dont always help. With the times we live in, a human life mean nothing. I think, sometimes people don't help, not just out of being selfish, but out of fear. If you were to get out and help? You would most likely get stabbed or shot. Criminals have no worry or second thought about your safety, if they kill a husband, wife, father, mother, etc, they couldn't be bothered, just an awesome story to tell.

    This world we share with certain other humans...
