144hz Screens

The PC on the right is just a Download/Media center. Basically Runs 24.7 and downloads.
If the desk was bigger they would be further apart. I just move the Keyboard and mouse I don't use up a bit when I am playing.

I have a GT640 that is overclocked. Looking for a new GPU though. But as I mainly play CSGO and CSGO is a hugely CPU dependent game my CPU does more than enough.

Ah okay cool :). I usually use Remote PC for my HTPC/downloader - since it's in another room.

Is the GT640 in your main PC? In that case you wouldn't be getting the full use out of your monitor in CSGO. ATM my PC is my gaming rig, the media streamer and downloader. :p

This just made me think, if you game and get more than 144fps on a 144hz screen, that means you would have to turn on Vsync in order to prevent screen tearing. That would actually suck :3

Hehe yes it is, and yes I do :) lock the fps at 150fps and runs fine. Other games is a dif story yeah

Haha well I already get in the region of 200fps with vsync off in CSGO, the screen tear is real.

I was wondering do any of you using a 144hz benq Screen use any special settings or profiles for FPS games especially CSGO?

What do you guys think of this monitor. It's not a bad price but not sure if any good. I'm thinking of going back to 1080p I'm on 2560x1440 @ 96hz and it's hard to drive and 1080p will be abit easier. I also get the better response time. Runing r9 280x crossfire here

I actually wanted to get that LG. but got the Benq XL2411Z instead.
I read that if you can get a Benq with firmware v2 or higher then the Benq is worth it. If not, get the LG.

Hope that helps
