1st Gen P67 mobo

I have a first generation P67 motherboard, which supposedly has the SATA degradation issue.

What kind of symptoms can i expect to see with that?

The problems I am seeing now is my hdd's disappearing after long periods of use, is this related?

Pretty much, yeah. Is it still under warranty? If it is, you can RMA it.

i dont think its still under warranty, i bought it when the 2600k processors was released, any suggestions on n new mobo ?
