2 point plugs ! aaargh

Plugs are so last millennium. The best DIY investment I ever made was a cordless drill. No power leads that are to short, no 2-point plugs pulling out and doubles as an electric screw drive. Just make sure to charge the batteries.

Sometimes you need the extra oomph of a corded drill though...

Granted, but I don't drill holes to mount engine blocks and my house walls are made of spongecake so the corded one is in the cupboard, but has not been required in a long time.
 
I got too pissed off with my cordless drill. I'm forever drilling into steel and concrete, so I have a monster of a drill with a 1700W motor which makes light work of concrete and steel beams.

I'm almost half way there... But I've made good progress so far getting rid of my own personal 'soft walls'.

Its nice to do easy jobs but when you need to drill holes into something a bit harder a cord drill is still the way to go. House is more than 50 years old and the walls are freaking hard destroyed so many drill bits hitting something inside the brick.

Nothing a good quality drill and good quality drill bits cannot sort out.

Funny thing is that most people don't seem to know the difference between the bits and materials and what they're used for. My favorite and least used bit (and a bloody expensive bit) is my Annular Cutter bit...but if I ever need to drill a massive hole through a concrete floor again I'll be able to

That looks like a awesome drillbit will get one for my dad since we have this stupid drill bits for big holes and well its a hasstle.
