So after having confirmed that they're working on a FIFA 2014 World Cup game EA has now gone and teased a little more...

EA Sports has tweeted a teaser image suggesting that the announcement of an official 2014 FIFA World Cup Brazil game may be imminent.

The presence of just the Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 logos suggests the possible game may only be released on the previous generation of consoles.
It's not clear either if it would be released as a standalone title or as expansion DLC for FIFA 14.
EA revealed back in October that development on the World Cup game was already underway.
EA has held the license for FIFA World Cup games since 1997 and the license for UEFA European Championship titles since 2000.
Beginning with FIFA Road to World Cup 98, the publisher has released a FIFA or UEFA game every two years to coincide with the staging of the world's biggest football tournaments.
These titles were all released as standalone retail games with the exception of EA's most recent tie-in product, UEFA Euro 2012, which launched as a digital FIFA 12 expansion pack.

Updated (again via cvg):
EA Sports has announced 2014 FIFA World Cup Brazil will release "exclusively" as a full retail title for Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 on April 15.

The last-gen title will feature 20 new stadiums, 100 new animations and over 15 hours of added commentary.

Weird that its current gen only, would loved to of played it on the Ps4 that I'm going to win :)

Will most likely make it's way...on the flip side it's still good to see some love coming to the 'old' gens (not everyone is quite ready to punt over the cash for something new that has only a hand full of titles at this point a.k.a. the current base is still bigger on the older gen). Now a year or so from now things may be different but until then I guess we're stuck in the teething bit (and I'm quite frankly glad about that for the next few months).
