3 monitor display setup

I recently decided to get myself two extra monitors for gaming, and some work related stuff for home.
Pic taken from google, looking for something similar to this:

Are any of you running a similar setup? How does it feel, any stories to tell?
Will I need to go SLI if I wanna play games at such high res? I have gtx970

Bought a mounting to support uptoo 4 displays 2nd hand, getting it next week hopefully.

I have an Asus 24" 144hz screen and will probably have to get two more of those to enjoy 144hz accross all screens, but they go like R6.5k now per screen :/ price increased dramatically from last year.

Would like to hear what you guys have to say, that does have a similar setup.

I have 2 screens but one day 3 and to be able to game like that... Maybe dreams can come true

Sorry, I missed this one.

If you plan on gaming across all 3 screens at once, that is 5760x1080. That is a 3rd the amount of pixels of 2160p, so you will definitely have to go SLI (with 970's) or get something like a 980TI or Radeon Fury/Fury X.
However, I have read that 970's don't handle higher resolutions that well due to the whole VRAM thing, so that might not be the best option. I suggest doing some research on GTX970 and 4K gaming to give you an idea of performance.
Perhaps it might be better to sell the 970 and upgrade to a 980 or 980TI.

I don't have a 3 screen setup, but I think the math in terms of pixels speaks for itself. As for the experience of gaming across 3 screens, with that I cannot help. Perhaps The Joker can assist (haven't seen him around recently)

Thanks for input Blazzok

I am well aware of the issue with the GTX970 and high resolutions, i dont play any next-gen games at all, mostly games on the Half-Life2 engine, CS, TF2 etc etc

Will see how it performs, but am definitely budgetting for a 980 or a Radeon Fury.

Am still waiting for a quote on this mounting bracket, i have found this one to be the most value for money: (compared to the Aavara brand

It's an expensive thing in total, as I need an additional 2x 144hz monitors to make it perfect

Yeah I saw in your original post that you require an additional 2 screens. I saw a good price today (now I can't remember where) for a LG 24" 144Hz monitor for around R4300, which I thought wasn't all that bad. I would love to have 2 144Hz screens (or atleast one to game on).

Edit: found it. http://www.evetech.co.za/Search.aspx?s=monitor%20special

I have 3 of the Asus 144Hz screens. I started off with a crossfire R9 290X setup, but I had to sell one of the cards off since i needed the cash.

I haven't really done any triple monitor gaming since then, but I could do some benchmarks later tonight...
