If you don't mind that it uses twice the power of the LED and about 40 watts more then an equivalent LCD then yes it will be fine, if it's the PS43D430/490 there isn't a problem especially if you follow the guidelines in the beginning, keep the brightness and contrast down, if you do get a little image retention use the pixel sweeper to clear it.
The main thing is the LED at that price is not worth it, you could also look at the Samsung LA40D550 it's around R5000 at most shops now, and I've got it's bigger brother the 46" which is a pretty decent TV.
i would get the 32" LED, i believe it would be better, i know these days the difference between plasma and lcd are much of the muchness, but i just believe LED is the best
Get this:

That TV is currently on sale, I've seen it in Dion Wired for about R15000 and comes with a 3D bluray player + 3D movie + 9 pairs of 3D glasses
Plasma burn in is a thing of the past. The older gen plasamas yes, they suffered from burn in if static images were let on screen for to long.
I have a 50" plasma and I use it for Xbox and PS3 and have never had an issue.
Image retention is however a reality. You will get this. This is the nature of the technology but not a flaw or an issue. Images left on the screen for a long period will still appear there after changing channels. It goes away after about 5 minutes. Don't mix this is up with image burn in, that is permanent but unlikely.
