5 game franchises in need of an HD remaster

Dino Crisis needs a lot more than an HD collection. So much potential I have no idea why Capcom can't see it.
 
So many gaming memories right there... Spyro was probably the first game that made me sick as a kid when playing it.. (FOV) I didn't know what it was back then and I thought that the game was evil :p

Dino crisis was one of the best games I've ever played.. In dino crisis 2 you got to customise your guns and use different kinds of ammo which blew me away back then.

Crash bandicoot too.. Who owns the franschise btw? It constantly goes back and forth to some publisher.. probably activision now..
 
Dino Crisis 2 was one of the most EPIC games back in the day! I played that game to death! The Antitank rifle you got eventually was ridiculous...

Cant understand why they have stopped the crash bandicoot series... It was probably the biggest playstation game of its era... Crash team racing was awesome! And started the whole "cart racing" craze...

Still disappointed you didnt have any final fantasy games on that HD remake list :p

I like this game, some of you probably don't know this game, but I spent hours playing it.

Like Tom said although spyro has a few new titles, it was a legendary game on the ps1.
 
Yes vagrant story what a great game my god it brings back some memory's being one of or not the first 3d rpg's.Metal gear 1 also needs a total remake in the new engine not just hd remake I would be so over that.
 
I'm still so sad about the Silent Hill HD collection that I think they should just leave the classics be. If they don't remaster games properly then new players of the games think the games are crap even though the new versions broke the games.

I guess it's very rare since I don't think I ever saw it anywhere even back in the PS1 days, so chances of finding a copy (legally) are probably very slim.

Dammit, and I don't want a illegal copy or download this game, guess i have to frame the broken disc and search on ebay, maybe lady luck is on my side. It was very rare, at the time I had my ps1 I bought it from a Cash crusader I think, it was very cheap at that time, I thought games would not get better than this. ahah boy was I wrong.

Me too. I actually cancelled my pre-order for the HD collection after I had read up on all of the issues (sure it was cheap enough but I just didn't want to have to experience the crappier version when I had such fond memories of the original). Silent Hill 2 was actually the only one I really cared about in play again however I did enjoy 3 enough to play it through again at some point. I kept hoping that they'd fix everything with patches however after a few months I just gave up. Actually I wonder if they've made much progress (if any) in the last few months.

Silent Hill 2 didn't seem to have any issues (for me at least). SH3 is an unplayable mess though.

When did you play it through? I'm actually just trying to look up some info now to see if they've maybe resolved some of the issues that I had read about at the time (see the 3rd post)...if they've fixed the issues in SH2 then I'll happily by the collection for it alone. I guess it sucks that the newer versions are so crappy but if I could still just replay SH2 one more time (obviously better if I had never played it before but luckily my memory is pretty kak). Anyway I'll dig and report back if I find any info on the issues actually being resolved.
 
I would only be interested in the Legacy of Kain / Soul Reaver remake if it had to happen. Probably the best game I have every played, to this day. That storyline was immense.
 
Just was thinking about custom music and then I was thinking about SSX on the PS3 when it reminded me of some really awesome games that I'd love to see HD remakes of: SSX Tricky and SSX3 (I just LOVED the extended sessions with SSX 3 and my better half loved the friekin' pipes and rails in Tricky...she'd sometimes end up upside down on them lol...I think it was Tokyo Express or something).
