Why would they take away split screen co-op for any other reason? I'd love to actually know what they where thinkin. That's so bleak.

I've never actually played a Halo game which is a disgrace since I've been in the Microsoft stable for eons now.

First time I played it was when I got MCC and I have to say. The graphics are bit dated (though touched up), the gun play and game play is really solid. 343 really know what they're doing.

I don't think I've ever played an fps on a console. Will try the first one though and see what the hype is about. :)

shame on you, I have them all except halo wars, was never attracted to the rts type of genre

Halo Wars was my favorite Halo game ever!! Played it through twice and I'm not the best RTS player let alone RTS on a controller. :)

With everyone screaming 60fps the whole time I don't think they wanted to face the wrath of the consumers if they offered split screen and it had to be downgraded to 30fps.

Why can't game companies just ask everyone's opinion or even have a poll asking if they should add split screen at 30fps. I'm pretty sure the majority wouldn't have minded.

My opinion is that unless you are a pro gamer or at least very competitive, anything over 30fps is acceptable, I don't see a need to make 60fps a MUST and have to sacrifice something as crucial as split screen.

I was going to make a joke about how console gamers can't see anything over 30FPS anyway, but now it seems I don't have to anymore :p

Exactly. And I'm sure the majority of Halo players would agree with you.

This is just another case of Game studios doing something without getting feedback from the community. Why couldn't they send out a press release stating that they have created a community poll asking whether split screen at 30fps is okay?
