What about the flak gun in Unreal tournament? Still one of my favourites.

I opened up this article and thought to myself: "if the BFG is NOT on this list I will be soooo pissed". And sure enough, there it is, at number of all places. That and the Redeemer from Unreal Tournament will probably feature as my favourite guns in games.

I really enjoyed the Torque Bow in Gears of War - the satisfaction of shooting the arrow into an enemy and the short delay while watching them carry on fighting before exploding into bits.

The HMV Penetrator from F.E.A.R was also a lot of fun.

This was my favourite weapon of all time, The Anti Tank Rifle in Dino Crisis 2

There were some like, "Ultra Raptors" at one part of the game that were purple, I just stood there shooting them like 20+ times with this gun, but like everything else in the game used to die in like 1 or 2 shots...

You just really cannot talk of 'awesome guns' and the BFG makes no appearance...
