8ta launches ‘Project Hulk’ mobile data special

however what confuses me is how will 8ta be able to track you if you on their towers or bumming off the MTN towers ? As you have to access 8ta towers to qualify ?

Where can one see what tower is in your area ?

I already have a 8ta sim

ADSL is still better in the long run. Its constantly coming down in price, more stable and in my opinion just vetter overall.
I am almost at the end of a mobile contract that I signed 3 years ago and can't wait to get it cancelled because I'm still paying the price it was worth 3 years ago.

While the new 8ta pricing is very attractive, it doesn't really compete all that well against ADSL yet.
Don't get me wrong, as far as mobile goes, it's exactly what needs to happen; It is awesome.

Sadly it's about 4 years too late... If mobile wanted to keep my data usage, this sort of pricing is MUCH too late.

Besides, this offer is only available on a 2 year contract. I don't do contracts for any sorts of communication service anymore.
Got burnt one too many times already.
 
Sweet deal. I hope the networks respond soon. Also, would like if they released a device, like Cell C which allows for the data modem to become a wi-fi hotspot.
 
Not that great I'm afraid. Things change too quickly to sign any contract. Also once people start using their allocation expect the speed start dropping to adsl speeds.

Buy one from Cell C ;)

Starting to change. Cell C is running their 4G on their own infrastructure and Seacom bandwidth isn't sold by Telkom. Neotel has also been supplying fibre links to the operators though you haven't seen the savings passed on.

So Cell C wise I'll support them to a minimum while adsl Telkom is still getting the bulk of the profit.
 
Ok so I got this contract yesterday and so far no regrets currently its doing 6.02mb/s down and 1.24mb/s up with 115ping

So this definitely beats my vodacom setup

R199 for 10gbs is a score considering I was paying vodacom R349 for 1gig
