A Story About My Uncle

Solitude

Mr. Nice Guy
Oh noes! How can this not have a thread yet? I'm currently playing it and it's a lot of fun. It's got a good story plus interesting game mechanics.

A Story About My Uncle is a first person platforming adventure game about a boy who searches for his lost uncle, and ends up in a world he couldn’t imagine existed. Take help of your uncle’s mysterious inventions that let you jump incredibly high and far through beautiful scenery, uncover clues to your uncle’s whereabouts, and meet fantastical creatures that will help you on your journey.

The movement in A Story About My Uncle is a crucial part of its core gameplay – focusing on swinging through the world with a grappling hook that gives the player a wonderful sense of speed and freedom. Soar through a game world with a unique art style and a mysterious story that unravels before you.

Have any of you played it? If you have it in your backlog then I can definitely recommend it. It's short and worth playing.

Played it a while ago, great little title. It's a lot of fun flinging yourself through the sky. I remember it could be a bit frustrating at times but all in all a worthwhile experience.

It'll probably be dirt cheap in upcoming sale.

was on my wishlist for a long time and I grabbed it a while back for like R20, but haven't gotten around to playing it yet :(

I completed it quite some time ago and it was a lot of fun. Did you at least manage to do the challenge the girl that rides on your back tasks you with where you're not allowed to use the grapple functionality?

Argh I got through a particularly difficult part and then got to the save point. Went a bit further and died. And it took me back ages back. The last save point for some reason didn't save. :(

yea did it. was mostly fun :) some of the achievements are frustrating tho...like the no death one...and then you have to restart if you die, and at start of every chapters theres first a long-winded "cutscene" type area....zzzz
