Accounts hacked here and on MyBB?

So a while back someone here claimed that his account had been hacked and random links were put in all his older posts. Anyone remember who it was?

Seems it's happening on MyBB as well.

I vaguely remember that incident however I think it was just random people who stored their passwords on their machines and ended up with a virus of some sort or keylogger. I suppose it is quite something to worry about, but at the same time I think if it's bots breaking in then we need an "Are you Human?" block to fill in if a person has not been active for a certain period of time.

Basically people using the same password on different sites and one of the sites has a phishing code that checks your password on the site you came from.

Basically:
>You follow link from Mybroadband to phishing site.
>You create an account on the phishing site.
>The Phishing site checks what sites you are coming from each time you visit the phishing site and checks if it log in to that site with the details you used to register on the phishing site.

Someone at hack.org.za used something similar on WatKykJy earlier this year,don't know if they succeeded though.

Yup, I noticed this problem again recently. Working on cleaning up all the bum links to weird polish warez sites
