Achievements in games....has anyone gone all the way

Hey guys I currently own a xbox360 and ps3

While playing games I realised that the achievements were fun but damn near impossible to get them all (I havent got 1 games completely 'achieved' lol)

So my question, who here has done and which games was it and do you think the time was worth it?:confused::)
 
The platinum (all trophies complete) on PS3 is usually quite difficult and/or time-consuming.
Some games more so, others less.

It only becomes worth it for me when it's extremely hard to get.

Bayonetta's platinum was one of those. Totally worth it!
 
I don't bother. The problem is these days the devs see achievements as an easy way to increase content/play time so they add an endless list of them.
 
I platinumed inFAMOUS some time ago. I don't see myself making much fuss for any more. They can be time consuming and frustrating and quite honestly pointless. But I still love hearing the trophy 'Ding!' each time I get one. I'm just not going to seek them out to the detriment of my enjoyment of the game.

In short, they are fun diversions that can add playtime to a game, but no need to worry about them if you don't want to.
 
I agree, I love seeing the xbox360 achievement icon on my screen.
It makes me feel awesome even if I got it for walking 5 feet:)
 
I don't bother with achievements sometimes it gets too time consuming. I get the ones which are readily available during the gameplay.
 
I tried getting all on imfamous the first one and some how i got everything except the stuntlist now i am stuck on 96% with two trophies left the platium one and the stunt list.. got no enemies left and i aint playing it the 3rd time cause you need all the powers to finish the list to...

Check this video, it really helped me get the stunts, but you really should have gotten the remaining ones on your second play through.

Man, i can never seem to get a platinum trophy :cry:
Theres always one or two trophies that are almost impossible for me to get!

Got really close with AC Brotherhood, but couldn't get the trophy with the multiplayer one where you gotta get every bonus in a single match.

Very close with Infamous. Trying to do the one with killing 25 enemies while riding on the train now.
 
It's pretty hard to get every achievement when you have to get everything in the single player, multiplayer, and every DLC as well. Then there's things like BFBC2, where you have to purchase the Specact kit to get the achievements for those kits. It's not even extra playable DLC, it's just extra guns really.

I think the last time I finished a game 100% was GTA San Andreas on PS2
 
The races were a pain, and there was a bike challenge in a dry dock that took forever to get right
 
I usually get most of them just playing the game. The rest are usually in other game modes that are put there I think to get people to try out all aspects of a game. I don't really waste my time on achievements all that much though, I mean its not the reason I buy games and spend time playing them. As it is I spend most of my time working and I don't think its worth it to use the precious little game time I have to hunt for achievements.
It is nice getting that achievement icon pop up though, I won't lie to you.

At least on ps3 you don't need to complete the achievements that come with DLCs to get a platinum trophy, even though you won't have 100% completion for the game.

Somehow getting a platinum trophy on ps3 seems more rewarding than 1000G on xbox.

...or maybe that's because i'm still a platinum virgin :D
 
there was only once in my life where I have achieved ALL achievements and that was for tekken 6 :D 1000/1000
and with LA Noire I have almost got all achievements (59/60) just need to get the achievement where 5 star ranking is needed in all cases :/
