DJ Hero is said to include "diverse music genres including hip-hop, R&B, Motown, electronica and dance" as well as the nifty turntable controller below. Endeavoring to "transform players into DJs who rule the club scene by creating original mixes of popular songs and music from the world's most exciting artists and DJs," DJ Hero continues Activision’s Guitar Hero franchise and helping to flog the not-dead-but-definitely-tired horse is the announcement of Guitar Hero Van Halen and Guitar Hero: Greatest Hits.
Woooot! Being a DJ myself, this looks promising...I wonder how the buttons will work on the vinyl though?

They are just milking a cash cow here.
Guitar hero is a great success, now they're just trying to build on that success i guess..Just have this feeling that this won't work out well.

Activision just milking it I agree with you Joker.
I despise DJ's being is the equivalent of smearing faecal matter on a canvas and calling it art :p

Hey its just my opinion, I'm not judging DJ's as people just hate what they do, hahahaha.
Sorry should be more clear

It's just...not appealing to me. Guitar Hero I think is retarded -- I've got a real guitar, it's the most incredibly sexy thing ever -- Ltd Viper 1000, just the name sounds awesome. But why would I practice GH instead of...real guitar?

With a DJ thing I could understand more. Not everyone has vinyls lying around, two turn tables, amps and all that other stuff, but I still don't find it appealing.

I foresee an Epic FAIL. Yes there will be people who buy it but will it become as universal as guitar hero or rock band? I can't see it happening. Maybe once we see more info on the game, hand-on previews and the like, then we can decide but at this early stage it don't see it taking off.

Didn't there use to be a arcade machine that had to do with DJing?
