ADSL for gaming

I am currently using Telkom's Do2 mostly for BFBC2 online gaming. Can I can get a better deal somwhere else for not more then about R100 extra a month?
the Do2 is a 5GB cap on a 384k line (plus 20GB local cap which I hardly use....) for about R258 (I think).
The 5GB is enough since I don't really spent time downloading anything, so I am really looking for a faster line, 512k or better. Any ideas will be appreciated!

You want bandwidth + 512k for R300 a month? I don't think you're gonna find that to be honest, but I'm a bit behind on the prices of capped accounts since I went with MWEB. What I do remember is that Axxess has cheaper line rental options than most (unless you get it bundled of course) and they have pretty decent prices for prepaid bandwidth (so you can control your spend).

Then again, if Neo pops up and just mentions whether his 25 gig a month account with WebAfrica includes line rental, then that would be perfect.

Just checked the Axxess site.

512k line rental (for a transferred account) : 289

That should get you started...

EDIT: If BC2 is local - go for MWEB Uncapped 384K (for R399) or 512k (for R599) - support MWEB for freeing the web! :D Yeah, it's a shameless plug, but they are doing such great things and the more people get off Telkom the better. I mention local, because until the peering issue I had no discernible latency for local p2p games (such as DotA or CoD). However, if the only dedi-server is Telkoms (assuming BC2 uses dedis) then you're screwed and have to stay with the devil.

I wouldn't tie myself by having my line rental with an isp. I would keep that with telkom, that way its much easier to switch isp's.

I would go for either mweb or openweb uncapped. Then just pick what line speed you can afford. Unless you really have to I would not use a capped service again, once you go uncapped you don't go back.:D

You got a few options.
As for a faster line the line alone is R326
Data Only.
5gigs from axxess lite is R95 384kpbs
5Gigs from afrihost is R145 384kbps
5Gigs from Webafrica is R249 Up to 10meg.

Webafrica Complete 5Gigs(comes with adsl line rental since you transfer it to them) R249
Axxess Tranfer of the line R138 for A 384Kbps or 512Kbps is R289

1. You don;t need to have Axxess as your ISP to pay your (cheaper) line rental through them.

2. Amen!
