advis for R5000 system

if its stuff like a case,then ill consider it,but like buying a gpu or so,i dont think i will.

im not a big fan about 2nd hand stuff,ill rather spend that extra rand.

At least with new stuff you get a warranty but the case warranty doesn't really matter...usually. Did you see my build? If so what do you think?

Yeah i saw its a hectic build!

And not bad pricing as well.

Question,why go with two 4gigs ram and not one 8gig,better performance?

Usually is cheaper to buy two 4GBs. If you want to future proof it I would say spend a bit extra on lower clocked RAM and overclock it (Not hard at all). Also the two 4GB might optimise it a bit better as some motherboards have lanes (In the CPU) but you won't notice this.

Not really...the 8GB will have bigger modules on the RAM itself to cope with the bigger amount of information being sent to it.

It would be better, considering the motherboard that was recommended, that JPS buy 1600 RAM. Recommending that JPS OC the RAM isn't really viable as anything over 1600 isn't visually noticeable. Those clocks are normally beneficial with benchmarks and memory-intensive programs.

1600MHz RAM would be the best choice from a gaming point of view.

Having 2 dimms allows you to run your ram in dual channel, think of it like electricity, 2 things running in parallel compared to 1 thing in series

Take it from some one that wend from 2 x 4GB to 1 x 8GB. There is no difference in performance :)
 
so am i right if i say there is no big difference?

but upgrading in the future would be better with one 8GB of RAM?

Ram is expensive atm,it was pretty cheap earlier this year and last year.

If the price drops enough then i can finally squeeze 32GB's of ram into my PC (4x8GB sticks)

I use my PC for a number of other applications like 3d moddeling and such which really benefit from Ram.

Still need to swap out my CPU for a better one.

CORSAIR CX500

KINGSTON HYPER-X PLUG AND PLAY 2X 4GB

it adds to +-R6xxx

:(
