Afrihost fined for ADSL network problems

As with all these "fines" I wonder who gets to pocket it.

Who pockets the billions that Hitachi got fined for their big corruption charge?
Who pockets the billions VW got fined for their emissions scandal?

Technically this money should be used to give back to the consumers who got duped, yet we never see a penny!

*rant over*

Im with mweb, we have an uncapped account and get throttled if we go over 100gigs a month but there have been some months where weve gone up to 130gigs no problems (we dont have a premium acc. btw) Onoy problem ive had is with telkom

Ugh internet at work not working well. Struggling to open everything. Maybe Afrihost will get another fine because this is ridiculous.

Update: I PM'd AfriGuy on the MyBroadBand forums to get onto the afrigreen network. He sorted it out within minutes and now things are working well!

Can also tweet @afrihost with your account name and get it done like that. Was experiencing slow net this morning, requested the migration and 5 minutes later my net was working like a charm.

A bit OT, but I think it was the whole MTN network. Since this morning I struggled to get WhatsApp messages to go through, couldn't browse reddit on my phone, etc. Friends who also use MTN had the same complaint.
Since Afrihost use the MTN backbone I think that is why they also had problems.

Yup it is the MTN network, Afrihost was showing that their mobile network (i.e. MTN) was struggling too.
