Afrihost uncapped pricing revealed

Think those that doing 200gig a month is doing illigal stuff they will investigate but if you watch stuff online and download patches, since your using the uncapped for legal stuff they should not have a problem.
 
Not available for 384 and 512 for the next couple of weeks. They are testing the 4Mb first and once they sorted out whatever it is that needs sorting out they will launch the two slower options. So for now I'm going to go for the Web Africa 11GB for R99 deal and then re-evaluate in a few months.

How would they know the difference ?
They Cant so thats why they asume more than 200gigs is Illegal
Forgetting steam and patches are huge DL now.
I mean BC2 has a 1.5 gig patch comming
 
I'll be sticking with MWeb...I like supporting the guys who make the first move. We'll still be keeping our 2Gb AfriHost account for emergencies and in support of their R29/gig offering innovation, but MWeb will be our main ISP for uncapped :)

Telkom hadn't officially made 8Mb lines available when last I heard.

How many times a month do you anticipate downloading 1.5Gb patches though?

According to the person I asked at the Telkom Direct Shop on Saturday, they will only be releasing their new products in August though.
Think you she was confused-or uninformed?

That doesn't really mean its uncapped tho.. http://www.axxess.co.za/uncapped.php are proud to show their top users - reaching around 750 GB - Now that is true uncapped. Not that i would download 700 Gb, but still.
 
in actual fact they should market their service by saying "200GB at R200" and not "Uncapped internet at R200".
Very misleading at first glance
 
200GB, 100000GB, I'm still going for this either way. Much better than my current 5GB, I'm not going to complain.
