Afrihost working to fix ADSL problems

We're going to be a little bit borked in terms of ping until such time as we get a Cape Town IPC - but in overall terms things are looking a little bit better on my side. I've been able to play GW2 without too much trouble for the past week or so.

Axxess had the same problem, but they seemed to have fixed it now? My connection has been smooth and stable for the last week or so.

Edit: Funnily enough, the normally stable 3G connection I have on my laptop has been shitting the bed lately.

My opinion? Not enough capacity for the amount of subscribers. Afriman denies it, but his post indicate that that's all it comes down to.

Yea, even in the article they are committing "double speak", in one sentence they say they have "significantly" more capacity, but right afterwards talk about their "congestion" issues. huh?

Visser explained that, at times, the protocol prioritisation has not always worked as planned which has led to intermittent congestion of the network and spikes in latency.
..
We are currently delivering 38.27% more GBs on average every day to our clients on the new network than we were a month ago.
..
The overall capacity of IPC we have available to us now as compared to when we were on the IS network is significantly higher.

Again , huh? Looks like it's not significant enough! If you have enough capacity , the term "congestion" should not be part of your vocabulary.

A client was unable to SSH into our network when we were connected throught Afrihost this morning. Changed over to WebAfrica and he was able to connect without any issues.

This MTN changeover has only caused me a lot of headaches.

The irony is strong in this one.
