Aion - General Discussion

So how's the lag? Capital cities and outer zones. Still have to wait till Sat/Sun before I get my copy sorted.

On another note, now that my Architecture application and portfolio is FINALLY in, I'll be spending a lot more time in Aion. w00t!

Random question - is Aion not saving settings for any of you, too? For example, when I exit the client, it doesn't save the "Display FPS" option as active. I've noticed one or two other settings that it doesn't save either, but can't think of them at the moment.
 
I actually like the private store feature - I use it quite often actually, and not as an excuse to be AFK.

They've adjusted the time limit to 30 minutes - something else they should possibly consider is limiting the zones in which you can deploy private stores.

I see no point for it considering there are various Trade Brokers around...
 
They're not always readily available though. And from personal experience ... buying stuff from the trade broker is a pain ... there's just too much to sort through.

At least personal shops have a limited number of slots, so you can see what's for sale at a quick glance - no endless pages to deal with.
 
I like the endless pages. Everyone buys the 1st one in the list, but they're not sorted according to price. So you can get hidden gems.

I picked up a full set of Restless armor for my Sorcerer @ under 10k.

Bargain, hell yes...unfortunately I lost 5 green manastones while trying to socket them :mad:

lol ok so i bit the bullet and did a digital upgrade to CE for that extra epeen items :D (cost 10 euros, ±R110)

The Aionâ„¢ upgrade gives you these additional in-game items:

•Black Cloud Wings (+40 seconds of additional flight time; available at level 30)
•Black Cloud Earring (+72 HP and +72 MP; available at level 20)
•Special character title ("Settler of Aion™ ") with stat boost
•Color dye (Rich Purple) to tint ten in-game items
•Two additional character emotes (Aion™ Boogie and Hip Hop)

If I recall correctly you only receive those items once and for one character only.

I dont think i'll bother too much with it.
 
Is it possible to copy the Aion directory as is possible with WoW?

If so, is there anyone in JHB (preferably Fourways) with the client I can leech from :p ?

can't find the official note on that, it is a lvl 30 item yes (*the wings); saves you 1 million kinah each time though which is good all in all.

of a rare and much coveted Limited Collector’s Edition. Notable among these is an array of in-game items you can give to your characters.

To assign them to your characters, please follow these instructions.

NOTE: You will need to follow these steps for each new character you create in order for it to receive the items.

1. Log into NCsoft Account Management.
2. Click the Game Accounts link.
3. Choose your Aion game account listed on the Game Accounts page.
4. Click the Apply In-Game Items link in the Actions section.
5. Select the server your preferred character is on and click the Next button.
6. Select the character you wish to receive the items and click the Next button.
7. You will then see a list of all the items or item packs that may be applied to that character. Click the checkbox next to the item pack(s) you wish to apply to that character and then click the Next button.
8. Review the confirmation page and then click the Apply the Items/Item Packs to this Character button.

You will then get a message saying that the items/item packs were successfully given to that character. You should have these items when you log into the game – simply pay a visit to your in-game mail box.

Saai havnt been in a queue all day and now i am wtf :mad:

think tomorrow what im gna do (or tonight) is get a damn rock place it on my space bar so he keeps jumping so im not afk and disconnects me :mad:

i know the feeling somewhere a long the line this week i was like playing and all of sudden disconnection and had to wait 3 hours +

I was playing the whole afternoon before the servers got busy. Played so much it hurt :( haha.

I'll play again later once all the kiddies go to bed :p
 
what i would like is a proper place where i can read up indebt about everything; my main grip about this game there is no proper explination manual with it like for example wow, age of conan or lol never winter nights 1 had. any have a good place with some decent and information and not just this is ABC with some short write up about it ?
