Aion - General Discussion

You mean "in depth" ? Would you like a walkthrough for the game as well?

:)

well obviously something that can explain for example the exact difference between a cleric and chanter with a full layout of spells and abilities on which levels and wtf they do, or what skills, spells, abilities for a templar. Seriously what happened to have simple tables in manual with those info ? i fail to see how this has anything in common with a walk though, no need to be a f***nutt about it

Have you checked the Aion PowerWiki and read the class overviews? I haven't checked it but it appears to be the official source of info.

I've checked into the Aion wiki ... still very incomplete though - I had a hard time finding some info I was looking for and eventually found it on a fansite.

I'm waiting for something similar to the GW wiki to pop up somewhere ....

I have what may be a really dumb question.

I am keen on Aion but kinda worried its just Guildwars with a new skin to tide everyone over until the release of Guildwars2.

Is that the case or is this game unique does it have the legs to survive the release of GW2?

Even if it doesn't ... There's still no release date for Guild Wars 2 (unless I'm behind on news). And when GW2 does come around -with its non subscription based fees- you can simply drop Aion and move across.

It shouldn't have to be a case of either/or.

I've played a lot of Guild Wars, and I can honestly say playing Aion feels nothing remotely like playing Guild Wars.

well what i can say one thing that appealed to me is the char animations its quite interresting.

The way your char fights randomly and when he gets tired.

Oh yeah totally! And I LOVE how when you're standing idly in water your character cups water in her hand and lets it drip back into the river, or how she runs her hands through the water.

It's small touches like that that makes it awesome

Im curious, does the game go "linkdead" if there's a break in your connection, or can it continue running if you quickly reconnect, like Starwars: Galaxies used to do?

My experience has been one of a disconnect means you're pretty much screwed regardless of how quickly you reconnect.

Yep - although they are gracious enough to make you skip the queue when you relog the game.

They are? Never knew that haha. I just gave up.

By the way...how long did it take ya'll to get your in-game items? I've been trying to get them for days now but they just aren't showing up on my character. Have applied them twice now to my character.
