Aion - General Discussion

An announcement was made today that Aion would be adopting a Free-to-play model - Gameforge will be taking over from February 2012.

I might be reading it wrong, but this site only addresses what will be happening on European servers, no idea what's happening on the NA and Korean servers.

I'll probably be hopping back and forth between Aion and Star Trek until GW2 comes out. Reason being that I'm at end-game in Aion, and there's nothing much to do beyond daylies and PvP. And I get horribly raped in PvP unless I'm lucky (which is what happens if you're not wearing PvP gear).

With STO at least I'm new so I get to play through the campaign still.

I should probably add that localising new content will probably take longer, so don't expect Aion 3.0 anytime soon.

Lol PvP (shud actually call it ZvP) is actually whats keeping me hooked atm, and sieges, i think 3.0 will come when they transcision to F2P, they did say they were expecting it early march.

I think a lot of people will actually try it and get to love it more than WoW

Only time will tell i guess.

But influx of retards i can see meh...
 
Im just really concerned regarding the fortress reward, it says its limited even on vet accounts now is this i can only get a certain amount of medals a week or what not?

Not sure how that's going to work tbh - with any luck there'll be more details closer to the time.

Nono ... read my post again :p

Once you run the installer it'll find your current installation and copy the files from there :D

@Blazing - I doubt the in-game store will be available for the beta, but we will have to see.
 
Hehehe jirre I think I will just confuse the shyte out of the thing, since according to my launcher I have 2 versions of the game installed and ready to play :P

To be completely honest I'm not even sure if it will be worth the time spent on it - my interest in Aion is fading rather quickly - I have been playing it non-stop for 28 months now.

Gonna try finishing it off this weekend, and then I'll see where I stand on Aion.
