Aion moving to free-to-play

lol ... a month after my subs run out.

Saves me from having to sub again though whenever I feel like popping in and saying hi to folks.
 
Yar I was thinking a nice way to keep me busy till the new mmo's arrive. Shadow I will organise with you so I can get the up to date client :P

If you guys haven't played for a while (since pre 1.9 anyways) you'll find things are very different now, especially in terms of making kinah - on the flipside things are crazy expensive now.

PvP is also a whole different ball-game, and it's mostly limited to Inngisson/Silentera Canyon/Gelkmaros　now - the Abyss sees very little action nowadays. It'll probably even see less after the 3.0 patch, but that's still miles away.
 
hmmm, maybe ill give aion a go, never played it because i heard it was too much like wow and no point in paying to play 2 games that are basically the same thing.
 
So what server do you all play on? I activated my account last night, so I've got a month playtime to give a go.
 
I'm on Perento (Elyos).

Despite the fact that I have an active Star Trek account as well ... I still spend most of my time playing Aion :p

Had some epic PvP fun last night ... undergeared as I am. The trick being to hang back and run my ass off when a ranger looks my way :D
