Nearly one week after its launch on iOS, NBA Rush has been downloaded over one million times. This is according to a tweet from Other Ocean developer Frank Cifaldi, one of the game's designers.
NBA Rush is an endless runner game with action similar Temple Run (but with basketballs). Players control one of 90 real-life NBA players, each armed with individual abilities and power-ups, guiding them through obstacles and slam-dunking over aliens. The wacky, licensed arcade-style game is free to play.
Other Ocean seemingly had a hand in NBA Rush's development, as indicated by the studio's site and Cifaldi's tweets, but is not found in the game's credits and iTunes listing. While it's not uncommon for contracted developers to go without credit for some projects, we reached out to Renren Games to be sure of the connection and the game's download milestone.
